About Us

The Stone Path Project Support Foundation

Madison Stone initiated The Stone Path Project three years ago, while she was in Grade 10, with a simple but powerful Instagram account dedicated to mental health. The account featured daily affirmations and quickly gained a meaningful following, resonating with many who were struggling with the challenges of high school life. Recognizing the need for a more comprehensive approach, Madison expanded the project to address a broader range of issues faced by high school students, including academic stress, relationships, and future readiness. On September 1, 2024, she took the next significant step by incorporating the not-for-profit foundation, The Stone Path Project Support Foundation, which is provincially registered in Ontario under corporation number 1633214-5. The foundation aims to assist students across Canada, with future aspirations for international efforts, guiding them through the often turbulent high school years with a holistic approach to their well-being and success.

Objective

The Stone Path Project is a comprehensive initiative designed to guide high school students through the complexities of adolescence by providing them with the tools, resources, and support necessary for a successful and fulfilling high school experience. Drawing from her own experiences, Madison Stone created this project to empower students with practical advice and emotional support, helping them navigate academic, social, and personal challenges.

Mission Statement

The Stone Path Project aims to cultivate a positive high school experience for students by promoting self-discovery, emotional well-being, academic excellence, and meaningful relationships. Through a combination of educational resources, peer support, and professional guidance, the project seeks to empower students to overcome challenges, build resilience, and prepare for a successful future.

Execution Plan

The Stone Path Project’s execution plan involves a multifaceted approach that leverages digital platforms, community engagement, and professional insights to reach and support high school students. The plan includes the following key components:

Social Media Engagement:

  • Daily Affirmation Posts: The project will maintain an active presence on Instagram, sharing daily affirmations and motivational content aimed at boosting students’ confidence, self-worth, and resilience
  • Interactive Content: Regular posts and stories will feature polls, Q&A sessions, and challenges to engage students and encourage them to reflect on their experiences.

Peer-to-Peer Discussions:

  • Online Forums: The project will facilitate peer discussions through online platforms where students can share their experiences, offer advice, and support each other in a safe and moderated environment.
  • Zoom Meetings: Regular Zoom meetings will be held to provide a more personal and interactive space for students to discuss specific topics, share insights, and receive guidance.

School Training Sessions:

  • Workshops: The project will organize in-school workshops focused on the key pillars of the guide, including self-discovery, mental health, and academic excellence. These sessions will provide practical strategies for navigating high school challenges.
  • Guest Speakers: Professionals from various fields, including mental health experts, educators, and successful alumni, will be invited to speak either virtually or in person to share their knowledge and experiences with students.

Professional Guidance:

  • Virtual and In-Person Talks: The project will arrange for professionals to conduct sessions on relevant topics, offering students expert advice on managing stress, planning for the future, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Career and Academic Counseling: Collaborations with school counselors and career advisors will provide students with personalized guidance on exploring career paths, applying to colleges, and preparing for life beyond high school.

Safe Communication Outlets:

  • Support Channels: The Stone Path Project will establish confidential support channels, such as email or anonymous online forms, where students can express their concerns, seek advice, and receive support before issues escalate.
  • Safe Spaces: Both online and in-school safe spaces will be designated for students to discuss sensitive topics, access resources, and connect with supportive peers or mentors.

Throughout her high school journey, Madison observed how her peers processed their experiences, and it inspired her to launch The Stone Path Project Support Foundation.
